I would like to introduce Silja Suntola as a new member of AACORN. She is Project Director of Creative Industries Finland (CIF), a national coordinator and network for creative economy development at Aalto University, School of Economics. Silja has a background
from the music industry, working as producer and engineer in numerous projects as well as Master Recording, one of the largest studios in the Helsinki area of which she still is co-owner of. She holds a MMus degree from the Sibelius Academy where she majored
in Arts Management. She also has a BM from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, majoring in Music Production and Engineering, where she was awarded a National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) scholarship for outstanding achievements in music
technology. Her research interests pertain to art- and design based approaches in organizational management and leadership. She has organized several conferences on Arts & Business in Helsinki as well as courses involving design, artful leadership, creativity
and culture.
