sorry, i should have said a "one time payment of a bit of cash, in caritate."

i definitely have never seen (or, more precisely, can recall seeing) any
long-term "pension" being promised.

sounds suspiciously like Socialism, an import from the Mommie State on the
Western Fringe of the civilized world.
