medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Out of curiosity, can these DVDs be read by American machines?
I know that commercial DVDs differ according to area - I can't show a European (or Asian)
DVD in the US without a special conversion machine.
Thanks,
Meg

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
An excellent DVD - as is the one of Pilgrimage. Highly recommended, and a splendid collection of relevant images that will be a treasure-trove to many teachers.

	Dear Anne

At the risk of advertising, you might find some helpful material in the
'Parish Church through the Centuries' DVD-ROM which has quite a lot of
material on the links between liturgy and development of buildings, etc, as
well as interior and exterior 3D models showing how churches developed,
including chantry chapels (see our website
	www.york.ac.uk/projects/christianityandculture or go to
	http://www.youtube.com/user/CandCCentre/videos).

I've found that the models and some of the filmed introductions to churches
such as Deerhurst are very helpful to people in this kind of context and
the DVD-ROM is now forming the foundation of a training programme with
English Heritage and the Church of England to help parishes learn more
about their buildings and how to care for, use and develop them
	sensitively.

	best wishes

	Dee
