Vacancy in German Language teaching at the University of Chester

 Part-time German lecturer required for up to 10 hours a week of German language classes in the BA single and BA/BSc joint honours programmes delivered in the Department of Modern Languages, University of Chester.

Start date:           as soon as possible or by 9 January 2012

 Salary: paid at a scheduled teaching hour rate of £40-65 inclusive (TSR3 point 31: £30,747 pro rata).

 Applications are invited from candidates with appropriate qualifications and experience in German language teaching at undergraduate level to contribute to the teaching of a range of first and second year German language modules.  All language modules are taught in target language and constitute an integral part of the German and German Studies programme at Chester.

 This vacancy is fixed-term covering the sick leave of the current post-holder. There is no closing date for applications.  Candidates whose CVs correspond to requirements will be invited to an informal interview with the Head of Department and the Programme leader for German at the earliest opportunity.
