Hi Sophie

Yeah – it’s quite straightforward and the lecturers seem to love it. We moved across this term. Big plus for them is not having to spend time marking. No software required which is a bonus for you. I’ve attached our internal test scheduling instructions (I’ve passed this responsibility to the lecturers so they can take more control; invigilation is done by faculty staff and VTCT are OK with this as long as the subject lecturer is not the sole invigilator). I’ve also attached the instruction sheet issued to candidates to help on test days.

VTCT have their own user guides which are quite thorough.

My one annoyance with VTCT (and there has to be one…) is the organisation of the various sites and all the passwords and log-ons required. I found that creating our own procedure helped us to understand the log-on process.

Good luck! J

Subject: VTCT Online Exams

Hi all, We have just had a EV Visit from VTCT who recommended we start using Online Testing for VTCT. We currently use the paper option which works well for us but I’d like to weigh up the pros and cons, and hear what other people’s views are, and also how you administer / run them?

Many Thanks
