Hi Nick

We have the same set up at Middlesex as Westminster in terms of team structure. However, we have a retainer with an agency who undertakes functional development on our CMS, including application of new styles, database integration and management, etc.

In other words, the Digital Communications Team is focussed on the content delivery element of digital presence, and specify additional functionality requirements to our contracted digital agency.

Hope this information helps.

Best wishes
Joanna

Subject: Digital and online team sizes

Hi all,

It would be really useful to know the roles and number of staff working on digital/web out there to enable benchmarking of staffing. There has been very little investment in web at Westminster until just recently when we received resources to apply a new IA to the site; we are struggling at the moment and I want to assess if this is down to how we work or a lack of resources.

For the entire University of over 2,500 staff and 22,000 students we presently have:

-Online Communications Manager
-Online Delivery Specialist
-Online Content Producer

We service our internal, external and mobile online presence.

What do others have?

Thanks,

Nick

Subject: Web Content Platform Survey

Hi all,

Sorry for the cross post.

We are currently reviewing how we manage and publish content through our
website, and for part of this we have been tasked with seeing how/what
other institutions are using/doing. We've put together a short survey
about the platforms you use and the people that maintain them and would
be grateful if you could find 15 minutes to complete it.

If you'd like to participate the survey is at

Many Thanks,
Paul Dixon
