Hi all,

The context: I am using AUTOASTROM to recalibrate the EROS-2 images, previously linearly calibrated using SCAMP. I got some strange results, illustrated here.
EROS-2 observed in two passbands simultaneously. For some fields, one image is correctly calibrated, the other one yields a false solution, for example cg1316l(br).sdf. In that case the blue image is correct, the red one is not, despite the fact that the RMS and quality factor returned by AUTOASTROM are better for the red channel than for the blue one. 2MASS is used as reference catalogue.

The archive autoastrom.tar.gz in anonymous ftp.iap.fr, directory pub/from_users/marquett/Astrom, contains the original FITS images and the logs of AUTOASTROM process.

Thanks for any suggestion,
Cheers
Jean-Baptiste
