OHAs/OH team need independent support and there are loads of small oh services out there who can provide this at a low cost . confidentiality is crucial, as is objectivity . !!!

We are an occupational health provider, we use another OH provider for OH support for our employees.  We talked through the “we know what we are doing” scenario endlessly but decided a few years ago to use an external provider for new starter screening and sickness absence services.  This seems to work really well, maintains the confidentiality, our employees say that they feel supported etc.  Even if we don’t learn anything new about how to support and manage an employee we have found this service reassuring.  We do our own vaccinations etc.
