The problem, as far as I know...because..I do work on Medieval Hospitals and not on that, is not so much the "conquista" part of the word, but the "re". Now they call it just "Conquista" because some people think that before the "Conquista" nothing was owned deeply or completely enough by anybody so as to be reconquered. But as I say, I am not expert at all on that funny things of fashion or hidden political agendas. I am just the 'manuensis' who transcribe the docs. ;)))))

it's the Rerequesta --the Christians just asked (nicely, s.v.p.) the Muslim to
leave.

and, they must have, since War solves no problems and Spain has been Christian
ever since.
