Dear Colleagues

We have a cracking issue for your bonfire night pleasure:

Top Boy by Kim Akass looks at the recent Channel 4 series asking: is it fair to constantly compare British series to American?

The Enigmas of Alias and TV Style by Steven Peacock asks why TV studies scholars routinely ignore questions of aesthetics, and,

The Top Ten Series on American TV (Part 1) by David Lavery is the first of a two-part look at his favourite American TV series.

Plus the usual listings - CFPs, up and coming events in November and TV studies announcements.

As usual, if you wish to comment you can do so either on the site or directly to me at this email address.

With best wishes
Kim
