Sharing these kinds of resource can save a lot of time and effort. The ‘Open specifications for library systems’ wiki

https://libtechrfp.wikispaces.com/ is an open community resource to facilitate such sharing --so saving a lot of time, money and effort. Specifications are freely available for re-use (under a creative commons license.) You can also /edit content to the online versions of the specifications.

We are building up a portfolio of specifications and are grateful to the libraries who have contributed. We already have the UK Core Specification (UKCS) for library systems, and a specification for vertical search/discovery. It would be great to add something for ebooks. If anyone is prepared to share such a specification please feel free to add it to the wiki (the wiki is open to all) or talk to me directly.

Subject: ebooks procurement specification

Hi Everyone,

I am about to undertake some work on the potential of introducing ebook and eaudio book services in Sunderland Public Libraries. Can I ask if anyone has produced a Procurement Specification for either or both of these areas that they would be willing to share,  or any other appropriate information. I will pull together a summary of responses for the list.

Thanks for your help.

Regards.
