From New York Times blog: 'Readers who want to borrow Penguin e-books from libraries through their Kindles have won a reprieve. Penguin on Wednesday reversed course and said its e-books on the devices would be available at least through the end of the year, The Associated Press reported. Earlier in the week Penguin said that it would halt the availability because of security concerns. Bloomsbury now the only major UK publisher providing new eBooks to libraries. Bizarrely Random House USA do still provide eBooks to libraries but not RH UK division. If some sort of solution isn't found then this really is a death knell for our eBook collections.
