We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic information professional to become our Clinical Outreach Librarian. The focus of this new service will be to work alongside researchers, clinicians and ward staff and take the Library Service closer to patient care.

The post holder will:
Establish an outreach service, working with the clinicians and researchers on individual wards and within specific clinical teams to answer clinical questions
Use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote the role in a clinical, multidisciplinary setting
Work as part of the Library team in support of the goals and objectives set out in the Library and Knowledge Services strategy

An information qualification and relevant post-qualification experience is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent professional and interpersonal skills, display self-confidence, enthusiasm and sensitivity. Working closely with various teams you will contribute to clinical decision-making, evidence-based practice and research. As well as being an experienced searcher, you will be analytical and flexible with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
