A research associate is required (background in LiDAR and GIS) to work for on a full time fixed term contract (max 22 months) as part of an EU collaborative project.  Salary Range is £30,870 to £35,788 
  
The EAGLE project comprises a consortium of 13 members including SMEs and research institutions across Europe. The objective of the EC FP7 EAGLE project is to enable SMEs to increase their market penetration in the design, manufacture and installation of renewable energy technologies, through an intelligent web-based, renewable energy rating platform. The key core module (platform) deliverable of the EAGLE will have the capability to automatically generate an accurate 3 dimensional building-scale model based on LIDAR data, vertical stereophotogrammetric aerial photographs, Ordnance Survey (UK) / Cadastral data and solar irradiation maps.
