JAVA/J2EE Developer – with GIS experience & .Net knowledge

Experienced JAVA Developer, required to design and develop enterprise wide applications in a J2EE/Oracle/Unix/Windows environment. You will have a strong Java/J2EE development experience gained within complex projects, ideally using Oracle Application Server (OC4J, Apache Tomcat or similar). As a hands-on Developer your technical experience will ideally encompass all or most of the following; J2EE, Servlets, Java Script, Oracle Application Server, ANT, HTML, JSP, AJAX, Spring, Struts, Hibernate. Previous experience of development within a 3 tier Unix Solaris and Windows environment preferred. Ideally the successful candidate will have worked with Geographical Information System (GIS) based applications eg: Oracle 10g Spatial, MapInfo, MapXtreme, OS Mastermap etc.. An ability to work within a structured delivery environment using a set methodology (Prince 2 or similar) would be ideal. Although your core development skills will be based in Java/J2EE, you will have had at least some exposure to .Net environments. You will have excellent communication skills coupled with strong problem-solving and a multi-task mindset. This is a very busy and varied role working within a high-profile organization.
