The matter is urgent, because tomorrow (Nov 10) the letter will be presented to the (Irish) Commissioner of Sciences and Technology. The social sciences and humanities are about to lose their Directorate in the DG Science (and hence status and funding) for the coming FP8, so our reactions are really important.
And they do matter!
