Dear All. A final program for the Seismic Applications in Geotechnical Engineering (SAGE) meeting on 13th December at Burlington House is now available at the Near Surface Geophysics Group web site www.nsgg.org.uk Keynote speakers are, in the morning session; Dr Ranajit Ghose of TU Delft in The Netherlands. Ranajit is a specialist in the newly emerging field of surface wave seismic and will talk on ‘Multidisciplinary integration for reliable near-surface characterization.‘ In the afternoon session, Professor Chris Clayton of Southampton University will talk on: ‘The value of stiffness from seismic surveys: a geotechnical engineering perspective’ Other presentations will include high resolution 2D and 3D land and marine reflection seismology and the innovative Surface Wave and Micro tremor analysis (MAM) techniques. Entrance is free to Geological Society members, (£25 on the door to all others) but confirmation of your attendance prior to the event to the conveners listed below would be appreciated.
