The Centre for Language, Discourse and Communication at King's College, London and the London ESOL Research Network (LERN) recently held a seminar entitled 'Politics, Policy and Practice: ESOL in the USA and UK'.

I attach the two presentations by the speakers, Anne Whiteside and James Simpson.

Thanks to all who came along - and look out for the next LERN meeting in the New Year.

Very best wishes,

Mel Cooke
