The University of Lausanne, Switzerland, is opening an associate professor position in Community Psychology of Ageing
JOB DESCRIPTION / CONDITIONS:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Field of specialisation : Community Psychology of Ageing Full-Time post
Required qualifications and experience
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in psychology or equivalent and have relative teaching and research experience.
Teaching (45%)
The post consists of 6 hours per week of teaching and thesis supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both Bachelor and Master level courses
in the field of Community Psychology and Applied Community Psychology relative to the problem of ageing. He/she will supervise students’ personal work and Master’s theses at all course levels.
- General Introduction to Community Psychology (28h/year, Bachelor level, 2nd part)
- Community Psychology of Ageing (56h/semester, Master level) -
Seminar - Community Psychology of Aging (28h/semester, Master level) -
Seminar - Methods and Interventions (28h/semester, Master level) -
Seminar- incumbent’s choice of topic (28h/semester, Post-graduate level)
Research (45%)
The successful candidate has a track record of substantial research accomplishments in the domain of Applied Community Psychology of Ageing and will provide a dossier of proven
publications in this field.
He/she will conduct both personal and team research as well as direct and supervise advanced or doctorate students’ research. Additionally, he/she will participate in the
promotion of research financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and other funding bodies.
According to the nature of the research and local contacts developed, the incumbent will have the possibility to develop a consultation focused on intervention.
Administrative responsibilities (10%)
In accordance with the legal system and the requirements of the collegial structure, the successful candidate will assume administrative tasks from the Institute, the Faculty,
the University and associated bodies of the University which could be imparted to him/her as a function of his/her post.
He/she will contribute to the ongoing progress of the Clinical Psychology Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) “Group and Organisation Identity” « Identité, groupe et organisation ».
Context and institutional affiliation
This post is affiliated with the Institute of Psychology of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lausanne. More specifically, the successful candidate

Salary
Annual starting salary for an associate professor (2011 scale) is a minimum of 138,211.00 Swiss francs with a maximum of 158,197.00, to which a thirteenth monthly salary is
added.
