Hi Colleagues The University of Reading is looking at its provision of prayer facilities for Muslim students and staff and we would like to learn from the experience of other HEIs. Therefore, can you respond to the following points: - 1. Do you provide prayer facilities for Muslim students and staff? 2. If so is it: - a. Located on or off campus b. Is the property owned by yourselves c. Do you employ a preacher d. Do you provide finance to facilitate this property or is it funded by the students or externally. e. What is the capacity, persons, and sq metres of the facility? f. Is it a dedicated facility, a masjid, or an undedicated place of prayer?
