Design Manager (Knowledge Exchange) Institute for Contemporary Arts Salary: £30,870 to £35,788 Closing Date: Thursday 15 December 2011 Interview Date: Thursday 12 January 2012 Reference: A315 This 3 year €5 million project has UK partners in Lancaster University and The Storey Creative Industries Centre and international partners from countries including France, Netherlands, Germany, Finland and Luxembourg. Based within ImaginationLancaster, a research centre within Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts, you will also be a member of the Design section of the Department. You will liaise closely with a corresponding position being appointed in the Storey Creative Industries Centre and will spend a significant portion of your time in this city centre location. You will be expected to undertake work that supports the delivery of the PROUD INTERREG project in developing new, innovative knowledge exchange mechanisms and approaches. You will also be expected to lead the development, production and facilitation of close collaboration with PROUD national PI and design experts. There is also day to day supervision of consultant designers and supervision of postgraduate students in the areas of innovation and design. The post is fixed term until 31 January 2014 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and made possible by the INTERREG IVB programme and subject to confirmation of that funding.
