Thank you for this design journal study.

Looking at table 2 I am wondering about a possible interpretation of the 
impact factors.

Irrespective of a particual journal the impact factors in 2009 are below 
the average 5-year impact factors. Thus, one could argue that the 
overall publication visibility of design research published in design 
journals decreases. Is this a valid interpretation? Or why is it flawed?

I am not specialist in this matter. Thus, I am seeking a proper 
understanding of the figures.
