The book was written as an introductory text for those wishing to be involved in research. The book focuses on how to get results from numbers and how to use them. There are hardly any formulas for the reader to struggle with as easy to use Excel functions perform many of the required calculations. The book has lots of self tests and exercises for readers to be able to practice the techniques. Reviewers have pointed out that the book is especially good at introducing newcomers to the language of statistics. The book employs new technology to make access to it easier and cheaper. It is available in the traditional paper form or as an e-Book in Kindle and e-Pub formats. The Kindle version may be bought from Amazon and it needs a Kindle reader. The e-Pub version can be downloaded from the web and can be read on a range of e-Readers as well as on a lap top or desk top computer.
