The Notes and Records Essay Award is open to researchers in the history of science who have completed a postgraduate degree within the last five years. The unpublished essay, based on original research, should relate to aspects of the history of science covered by the journal.

The award includes a cash prize of £500. The deadline for submission of an essay is 31st January 2012.
