Any event you plan and stage is a reflection of your organisation’s image – from initial invitation to post-event feedback. Limited training budgets make potential delegates more demanding. Careful planning and preparation is vital if the benefits of attending are to be realised and delegates’ needs are to be met. Tracy’s presentation will look at the issues and challenges in putting on events, provide ‘top tips’ for planning them and identify the benefits from staging successful events.

Tracy Kent has over 20 years experience as a successful training co-ordinator for UKeiG (formerly the UK Online User Group) and as subject librarian at the University of Birmingham.  She is currently responsible for raising awareness of, and providing training on, Open Access and new publishing models across the University. Tracy is also the events coordinator for a local Village Council, putting on events for residents.

This talk will be of particular value to anyone registered for CILIP Chartership and can contribute towards CPD requirements.
