We are looking for someone ideally with a Local Authority background/understanding and with a GIS background.   Below is list of desirable & essential experience we need. 

Essential experinece
•	Working knowledge of the on-street datasets used within Highways and Parking.  i.e. parking rules and regulations
•	Understanding of Local Authorities - TMO’s (Traffic Management Orders)
•	A good interpersonal skill to communicate and manage tasks/project as well as people
•	Organised, motivated with good planning and management skills
Desirable experience 
•	A background in GIS systems and with a good technical background will be an advantage.
•	Previous experience and/or understanding of data collection in the private sector.  The collection, processing and quality management processes.  
•	Data Stores and websites offering downloadable applications and services.  
•	A good understanding of freight related issues – advantageous especially an understanding of the UK road network.
•	Understanding of Navteq and OS mapping products.
•	Familiarly and use of a CRM tool in managing contacts and a process.

About PIE:

•	PIE (Public Information Exchange) is a specialist mapping, data and routing business, supplying industry-leading mapping and routing products for local authorities, freight operators and entertainment venues.  (www.publicinformationexchange.co.uk) 

•	PIE collects and processes on-street parking and transport related data from more than 470 unitary and local authorities across the UK. This includes both dynamic data and local authority paper-based TMO/TROs (Traffic Management/Regulation Orders).  Our data collection (aggregation) and data processing as been recognised as essential to fuel the data required for Apps and end user devices based Local Authority data.   We have a joint initiative as part of the UK Technology Strategy Board (TSB) to create a Data Exchange Service for these datasets.  This product is in partnership with Transport for London and Navevo (UK sat nav expert).  The Data Exchange will be used to fuel essential data for routing and delivery information as part of the 2012 Games.
