Dear Colleagues, For sometime I had been enquiring from univs, professional organisations etc concerning data and info retrieval system on the web infrastrcuture for the purpose of better disaster response and other benefits such as its availability for refurbisment works, research etc. Whilst many people thought the idea has merit but current privacy laws in many countries pose an obstacle to access info of this kind in public domain. It might be governments and consultants who see this idea beneficial. Pls share your views how to progress this up for the benefit of the engineering practice and the profession.
