Session: *New Directions in Human Geographical Theory* Convened by Lucas Melgaço (Queens University, Canada) and Nicolas Bautès (University of Caen, France) This session aims to discuss the new theoretical approaches advanced in Human Geography in recent years. The organizers encourage authors to propose innovative and creative theoretical thinking in Geography and especially welcome contributions that originated outside the traditional axe North America - Western Europe. We welcome submissions on any aspect of this broad area, but would particularly encourage papers on: Method and methodology in Geography; The main theoretical schools in Geography and the History of geographical thinking; New concepts in Human Geography or revision and reinterpretation of old ones; Articulation between theory and empirical research; New and unexpected subjects in Human Geography; The attitude of the geographer when facing a different social/cultural/political context; Contributions of geographical theory to the interpretation of the information age.
