Forgive my aged memory but I seem to remember that Secondary Roles were assigned via the Snapshot process.

Hi Tyrone,
We have not managed to find a way to bulk enrol users into secondary institution roles within the interface.
We have however created a bit of powershell script to do this. It basically takes an input file of user ID’s, prompts for a role and then call som SQl to update the table user_roles.

Dear All,
I am finally having a bit more of a play with Blackboard 9.1, specifically the community settings involving primary role, secondary role and the different tabs / group tabs.
I can see where I can set the primary role, under bulk enrol, but not the secondary role.
If this can’t be done via bulk enrol, can I set a default secondary role anywhere?
This would be great as we want to provide some basic differences to certain students and maybe staff, with their views and access.
