Nuts and Bolts of Museum Records Management: A Practical Workshop on Getting Started

Cost: The training is funded by Renaissance and is free to museum staff and volunteers working in London.

 

Facilitator: Renaissance Information and Records Management Project

 

Do you have questions about how to manage your paper and electronic records (including email)? Do you need to clarify the difference between museum archives and records management programmes? How do Freedom of Information and Data Protection impact or inform museum records management? This training is designed for museum professionals who want to learn how to develop a records management programme for their museum. The workshop will include an introduction to the components of a records management programme and hands-on practice to get you started.

 

The workshop will be lead by Samira Teuteberg, Records Management Advisor, and Charlotte Brunskill, Archivist and Records Manager at the Paul Mellon Centre.
