The RSS Business and Industrial Section (BIS) Committee is seeking new members for 2012. The committee comprises members from both academic and industry backgrounds. The section promotes the advancement and the application of statistical techniques to all aspects of business and industry through organising meetings or conferences on relevant topics. The BIS also aims to organise meetings jointly with other organisations, sections or groups. BIS is seeking members who have ideas for and are willing to help organise open meetings of relevance and interest to the business and industry Statisticians community. Members are also expected to promote networking within this community. The section particularly welcomes those who can help establish contacts with other special interest groups and organisations with an interest in application of statistical methods to business and industry.
