Dear colleagues,

For anyone who has chance to take a look, today's live online chat on the Guardian Higher Education network (between 12 .00-2.00) is on student engagement. ECU's Claire Herbert is on the panel, putting the equality arguments.

Visit the Guardian website to see the questions and comments: http://www.guardian.co.uk/higher-education-network/blog/2011/oct/11/student-engagement-live-chat

The 'chat' takes place in the comments section under the main introduction. Remember to refresh your page regularly, as it is quite fast moving! If you want to add a comment or question, you need to sign in or register (there is a button at the bottom of the comments to do this).

You can also follow some of the discussion via Twitter, searching for the #HElivechat hastag.

The discussion stays up on the website after the 2.00, if you don't get chance to look at it until later.

Best wishes
Anna
