Paul -------------------- The Department of Management at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montréal is seeking to fill the postion of Jarislowsky Chair in Corporate Governance The Jarislowsky Chair in Corporate Governance is expected to assume a leadership role within the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) spearheading research and teaching in the area of Corporate Governance. We seek candidates with exceptionally strong and recognized research records in the Corporate Governance area. The chair will be housed in JMSB’s Department of Management. Research expertise may include (but is not limited to); corporate governance as it relates to strategic management, accountability and transparency, corporate performance, corporate reputation and competitive capabilities, leadership, employee relations, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, CEO succession and compensation, and international and comparative perspectives on corporate governance. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to attain a high-level of visibility within the business and/or non-profit communities as they will be expected to actively promote and influence Corporate Governance ideas and practices within these communities. Additional selection criteria would include successful teaching experience, in particular working with research fellows and graduate students. Experience in the actual governance of private, non-profit and/or public organizations would be a distinct advantage. The Chairholder is also expected to work closely with other related research centers in Montréal, such as the Institute for the Governance of Private and Public Organizations, which was founded by Concordia University and HEC Montreal with financial support from many partners, including the Jarislowsky Foundation and the Autorité des marchés financiers. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Communications skills in French would be considered an asset.
