My dear (!) facebook friends have come up with a few:
'The Holly and the Ivy' - which includes 'the rising of the sun, the running of the deer'.

Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer.

Apparently there is a song 'The Deer pants for water'.

For general bone I thought of:
'Tusk' - Fleetwood Mac
'Bones' - The Killers
'Dinosaur' - 'King Crimson (inc the line 'somebody's digging my bones').
Bad to the Bone' - Muddy Waters

Will send more if they arrive or I think of more.

Two that spring immediately to mind are:

Hide in your shell by Supertramp or

Animal by Toto

Now this is something I have discussed for some time with colleagues....glad to see it has come to reality.

Please can we have some zooarch entries....will be encouraging my students to enter. I am working on a shamenistic antler headdress flash dance number to explore human/deer relations etc - cannot think of the right tune though....

On research leave Sept 2011 to Sept 2012
