Dear Colleagues,

As part of the JISC-HEA funded DELILA project -- Developing Educators Learning and Information Literacies for Accreditation -- two repositories of information and digital literacy development resources have been developed, one based at the University of Birmingham and the other at the London School of Economics. These are for open access to educational developers, librarians, learning technologies, etc.  The original objective of the project was to prepare a repository of materials which could support embedding digital and information literacy education into institutional teacher training courses accredited by the HEA (e.g. PGCert). Of course it remains to be seen to what extent these materials will be useful to other institutions and individual developing programmes in information and digital literacies.  (Another project beckons?)

These open educational resources can be accessed through the following URLs:

We would be very interested to hear any feedback you might have on the resources themselves as well as on the practice of embedding digital and information literary education into PG Certs and other training/development courses.

If you would like further information about the DELILA project, you can visit the project website at http://delilaopen.wordpress.com/ or contact us:

With best wishes,

Elizabeth Cleaver and Claire Gordon
