I personally agree with those who are on the cautious side, and in
particular Sharon's point about the visits not being clinically
essential. 
 
Then I realised I contradict myself by cheerfully going out and doing
workstation assessments on homeworkers. Somehow this doesn't seem as
threatening, as the people are not "ill" but experiencing some
discomfort using their work equipment. 

I suppose therefore the exception is where the worker's home is, in
fact, their place of work...

I find it good practice to phone someone(adminstrator/HR/another OHA or
even my husband) just before I go in , give them the address and ask
them to phone me in an hour if I have not phoned them to say that I am
out. I tell them to put the time that they need to phone me  on a
post-it on their computer screen so that they do not forget!
