It could happen in any job... http://www.suzylamplugh.org/about-us/ Kind Regards Sue Spencer Occupational Health Advisor Wellbeing Service | Occupational Health | PO Box 11 | County Hall | Chelmsford | CM1 1LX | 01245 430222 (ednet 20222) ________________________________ From: [log in to unmask] [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Diane Romano-Woodward Sent: 17 September 2011 10:52 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Domiciliary vists I personally agree with those who are on the cautious side, and in particular Sharon's point about the visits not being clinically essential. Then I realised I contradict myself by cheerfully going out and doing workstation assessments on homeworkers. Somehow this doesn't seem as threatening, as the people are not "ill" but experiencing some discomfort using their work equipment. I suppose therefore the exception is where the worker's home is, in fact, their place of work... I find it good practice to phone someone(adminstrator/HR/another OHA or even my husband) just before I go in , give them the address and ask them to phone me in an hour if I have not phoned them to say that I am out. I tell them to put the time that they need to phone me on a post-it on their computer screen so that they do not forget!
