Dear Pamela,

May I give you an advice. I am taught by a statistics die hard, that 1-5 scale questionnaires are not good. A good scale should at least content 7 options. I can think of a lot of skills you could measure yourself on. I don’t know what you have already got and what your working environment is (and your tasks).

Succes and good luck and let me know if I can mean something more for you.

Hartelijke groet,

Subject: many thanks and collecting a skills inventory for a midwifery portfolio

Hi,

Many thanks to everyone who answered my last query.

I am currently trying to build a skills inventory list for my professional portfolio where alongside a set of statements I can give myself a rating on a scale of 1-5.

One example of a skill is

"speaking to a group of people, as in teaching or making a presentation"

I wondered if anyone had any particular opinions on what sort of skills as a midwife I should be measuring myself against.

Cheers
