Thanks, Anne, I was thinking along that line but it's good to have confirmation.

I have this situation too with a candidate who is two marks off an A star and we have gone for remark on the writing paper.
It is always a risk but if the candidate is very close to A star he would ahve to lose a lot of marks to be downgraded to A I would think.

Hi

I would like to apply for a remark because I do believe the marking on a speaking paper (she is 2 marks off an A*) and another on writing (1 mark off an A*) was inconsistent with other candidates who were given much higher marks.  In my opinion there is no much different between these candidates.  But was told by my examiner officer that there is a chance that the marks down and this has put me off. Could someone share their remark experience so that I can decide to go for it or not, many thanks.
