Dear Listmembers,
If you are organizing a session for the upcoming
AAG Conference in Seattle that involves qualitative research, then we would
like you to consider the Qualitative Research Specialty Group as a
sponsor/co-sponsor for your panel and/or paper presentations.
The
Qualitative Research Specialty Group works to highlight the wealth of
qualitative research being done in Geography, across many
sub-disciplines. Co-sponsorship of relevant AAG sessions helps to
bring attention to the diversity of qualitative research in the
discipline.
The mission of the QRSG
is:
"To promote the use and understanding of qualitative research
approaches, methods, and tools for purposes of education, research, and public
service in the discipline of geography. The group is to work closely with
other specialty groups to promote common interests and develop
intra-disciplinary projects. The group is further charged with bridging
the perceived gap between quantitative and qualitative research through
dialogue, debate, and establishment of common ground for the purpose of
enhancing rigorous research across the spectrum."
We are sure that
these goals align with the work of many of the members of this discussion
group.
If you would like to submit a request for session
sponsorship, please email Hilda Kurtz at
[log in to unmask], or Mary Raycraft at
[log in to unmask]. When you submit your session details via the AAG's
online registration form you can simply select the QRSG as one of your sponsors
from the drop-down menu.
Thanks and best
wishes
