I have had a few emails from Staff working from home, with accessing files after they have uploaded them.
I believe it is a security setting in IE, but am not certain.

Hi everyone,
Has anyone experience any issues opening Excel files (either .xls or .xlsx) from within Blackboard (9.1, SP6) when using Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7?
When clicking on the link to a file, a new browser window opens and prompts the user to either ‘Open’, ‘Save’ or ‘Save As’. Clicking Open results in a blank window – Excel doesn’t load and neither does the document.
The documents load correctly when using Firefox and all other MS Office documents appear to work correctly too.
