*** APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS POSTING ***

Dear Colleague

Tuesday 22nd November, 2011 (the day before the Manchester PG Fair), in Manchester at Manchester Conference Centre

Theme: Keeping the ones you want - Converting PG students: issues and practical solutions

In the growing competitiveness  and uncertainty of today's postgraduate market, ensuring the students you make offers to choose to walk through your institution's door rather than your competitor's is now more important than ever, whether your market is local, national, or international, and whatever mode of study or subject area you specialise in.

At this next Forum session, we will be discussing this important issue, where the particular sensitivities and pressure points lie, and, from the various marketing tools available, what works and what doesn't in increasing postgraduate conversion rates.  As always, the emphasis will be on identifying the issues, and discussing practical solutions.  We are also delighted to confirm that we will be including a talk from Ian Morgan, Consultant at Hermes Education Marketing, on how social networking can be used to help with postgraduate conversions.  We are delighted that Ian is able to join us, as his sessions at previous Forum events have proved very popular.

Following the success of case studies featured at our June Forum, we have decided to include case studies in this session also.   Further details about the event, confirmed case studies,  and a provisional programme are given below.  We may have space for a couple more case studies, so if you are interested in contributing in this way, please contact me on [log in to unmask] or 07739 457182. .  If you have experience of using social networking as part of postgraduate conversions, we'd particularly like to hear your experiences.

As usual, we are offering a reduced rate if you or a colleague from your Department have attended before. If you are providing a case study, we offer an increased discount of 25% off the full price.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.
