Response is a bit late, but it is just worth correcting that Hutton (1999) actually said that Pagan Witchcraft was the only religion that England has ever given to the world, not Britain. The use of England rather than Britain or the U.K. is important here, because of course it could well be argued that Britain gave the world contemporary Pagan Druidry as well, which was largely developed not in England, but in its western sister, Wales. Whether Thelema was a creation of Britain or of Egypt is, of course, a whole other kettle of fish, but I don’t believe that it can be claimed by Britain alone.
