This is even more complicated in the southern hemisphere where the months of the seasons is reversed but where the bulk of the pagans are of western European descent. I myself was originally from America and to me October 31 is still Halloween whereas next month I will be celebrating Beltane with the local pagans. In addition, the seasons in Australia really don't resemble the four classical northern seasons and the indigenous people here had six seasons, at least in southern Australia.
