A big factor to take into account is the regionality; the 4 quarters only make sense in the two geographcial stripes across the planet where the climate changes in a fourfold fashion over the course of a year there has been a fair bit of debate on pagan lists over the last quite afew years about the relevance of performing nominally Wiccan rites (ie the 4 festivals and 4 sub festivals) in locations which are more equatorial, so tend to have 2 seasons (dry/wet; or hot/hotter) Dave E
