Lectureship in German at Bangor, to start on 1 October 2011. It is a
three year post in the first instance, to provide cover for Prof.
Carol Tully's appointment to PVC Students.

Applications are invited for the above post. The successful
candidate will have acquired, or be close to acquiring, a doctorate
in a relevant field of study. He or she should have a high degree of
competence in spoken and written German, (native speakers of German
should be thoroughly competent in English). The School would
particularly welcome applications from those with a background in
Translation Studies.
The successful candidate will be involved in teaching language and
culture at all levels, including a contribution to the School’s MA
provision. This vacancy represents an opportunity for an ambitious
academic to work in a dynamic, supportive and friendly School.
The post is available from 1 October 2011 for three years in first
instance.
Closing date for applications: 1.00 p.m. Friday 19th August,
2011. Interviews will be held on Friday 2nd September, 2011.
