 <http://www.cur.org/pre-issotl.html> International Perspectives on Engaging
Undergraduate Students in Research and Inquiry:
First Year through Graduation

Pre-ISSOTL Seminar, Milwaukee, Wisconsin October 19, 2011, 8.30 AM-4.30 PM

Seminar Convenors: Nancy Hensel (CUR, US) and Bill Campbell (CUR, US)

This seminar builds on the very successful meeting held before the ISSoTL
conference in Liverpool last October (see
http://www.cur.org/issotl/2010/materials.html). We have chosen three themes
for the Milwaukee seminar:

*	Providing undergraduate research opportunities and collaborations
across international boundaries
*	Building research experiences into first-year and introductory
courses
*	Transforming curricula to include research and inquiry.

Participants will work through the pressing issues facing undergraduate
researchers and programs in North America and the rest of the world through
small group discussions.

Programme

Details of the draft programme are available at:
http://www.cur.org/issotl/2011/information.html

Posters
All delegates are invited to submit an electronic poster by September 14,
2011 to [log in to unmask] for display on the seminar web site before the event.
You should also bring a hard copy version with you (posters should not
exceed 40 inches wide) for display on the day.

For technical specifications, please visit:
http://www.cur.org/pre-ISSOTLposter.html. The Posters are a key aspect of
the seminar and we hope that many attendees will produce a poster for the
website and the Milwaukee event.

Registration

This will be combined with ISSoTL 2011 registration
(http://issotl11.indiana.edu/registration.html).

Delegates to the CUR seminar may register for it alone without attending the
main ISSoTL Conference (see below for discount when registering for both).

October 10, 2011). For delegates registering for the full ISSoTL conference
at the same time the seminar fee is $85.

All delegates need to pay in US dollars at the ISSoTL 2010 registration
