The details are as follows; The Equimose project currently investigates visual perception, decision-making and performance of radiologists in the interpretation of medical images. The project is multidisciplinary, drawing together individuals from a number of perspectives; radiology, image quality, engineering, computer science, ergonomics and psychology. We are currently aiming to employ a postdoc with a psychology background to facilitate the design and completion of our experiments. You will be expected to design and lead projects within our radiology department, supervise M.Sc. interns, analyse statistical information, write papers for publication and present at national/ international conferences where appropriate. The ability to speak French is not essential (the team speak English) but a willingness to learn is recommended. The post holder should possess the following experience; Essential; 1. Strong background in experimental design. 2. Strong background in quantitative analysis. 3. Experience of eye-tracking studies and analysis methods. 4. Previous experience of working with medical images or a strong interest in this field. 5. Prior research experience in either visual perception, decision-making or the acquisition of expertise. 6. Publications in the form of conference papers or journal articles, commensurate with experience. 7. A willingness to learn another language. Desirable; 1. Programming skills (e.g. C/C++, MatLab or R) 2. Knowledge of accuracy measures i.e. sensitivity, specificity, ROC methodologies. 3.
