CARING FOR BOTANICAL COLLECTIONS

A NatSCA seminar to explore basic botany collection management, curation and conservation.

This seminar will cover basic aspects of managing and caring for botanical collections -  including storage, handling and specimen preparation.

Afternoon work shop sessions -

  • Herbarium mounting
  • Conservation
  • Identifying contaminated collections
  • Herbarium tour back at National Museum Wales, in Cardiff

 

The course will be both theory and practical.
