Collaborating to Compete, 16 September 2011
Surgeons' Hall, Edinburgh

Museums Galleries Scotland are pleased to share news of their conference. In these times of economic difficulties and of rapid change, Collaborating to Compete will demonstrate how museums and galleries can create opportunities for significant and dynamic change. The conference offers a packed programme of speakers and breakout sessions that highlight inspirational examples of best practice in the 21st century. The programme pivots around three central themes: new partnerships; sustainability and entrepreneurship.

One of the aims of this conference is to give insight and inspiration to not only heritage and museum services, but to all departments running public services. Seminars will offer an introduction to building effective partnerships, sustainable services and entrepreneurial models for delivery. Network with colleagues from around the UK and hear from International speakers in the tourism, arts, research and planning sectors about how they have created successful, sustainable and delivery-driven initiatives.
