St. Joseph's College (Confucius Classroom, CI for TCM) welcomes you to join its fast developing Mandarin Department. The vacancy is suitable for an NQT or a fully qualified teacher. The successful applicant will teach Mandarin at KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of AS and A2 Level for a suitably experienced teacher.
 
Key Skills required for the post:

• Differentiation

          (Over 500 students, of mixed ability, study Mandarin GCSE, AS & A2 courses in curriculum time)

• ICT

          (The successful applicant will be expected to use ICT and language lab effectively for student progress and to develop on-line resources)

• Behaviour Management

          (The college is a Comprehensive VA boy school; Mandarin class size is 20-26 students)

• Innovation and Commitment

          (The Confucius Classroom has developed partnerships with 8 local primary schools, HE establishments and 3 schools in China. Chinese cultural activities, demonstration
           teams and competitions are part of extra-curricular activities. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to all of these activities.)
